  • Safety Seminar on 9 Sept 2016 (Presentation Material Uploaded)

    The Society has jointly organized the subject safety seminar with HKICM.  The details of the seminar are as follows:

     

    Date: 9 September 2016 (Friday)

     

    Time: 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

     

    Venue: HKICM Conference Room Rooms 801-2, 8/F., On Lok Yuen Building, 25 Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong

     

    Speaker: Mr. Michael LEUNG, Former President of Society of Registered Safety Officers (Present Safety Adviser of HKICM)

     

    Topic: A New, Real and Practical Approach on Ladder Safety and the Construction Manager's Relevant Responsibilities

     

    Programme Highlight: Most of the time, accidents arising from use of ladder have been classified as fall from height accident, and the basic techniques in erecting or climbing ladders are thus overlooked.  Likewise, such inherent risks are also often overlooked by construction management personnel.  The speaker will adopt an interactive approach in delivering the message that site safety should start from the very basics of site activities, such as ladder safety.

  • Safe Foreman Award 2016

    Dear members,

     

    The Annual Event - Safe Foremen Award 2016 is now opened to enroll.  

     

    This award is organized by Lighthouse Club and co-organized by Society of Registered Safety Officers.  The objective of this award is to recognize the foreman with outstanding safety performance.  All site foremen (local or overseas), their responsibility must be related to construction industry works and direct supervise the construction workers. The participants should be responsible for implementation and promotion occupational safety on site.

     

    Could you please forward the attached information to your colleagues & encourage them to participate.  And the application form can be downloaded from our web site:

    www.srso.org.hk.

     

    The Applicant should complete & return the application form to the Society via email: srso@srso.org.hk or mail to our PO Box 482, Fo Tan Post Office, NT on or before 30 September 2016   Attached please find the poster & enrollment form for your information.

     

    The selected finalists will be invited for interview by the judge panel and to attend the Award Presentation Ceremony of Lighthouse Club on 21 October 2016.
