Speaker Profile
Ir Dr Vincent HO is a career risk management professional with thirty years of experience in transportation and nuclear industries. Dr. Ho is the Head of Corporate Safety of MTR Corporation Limited responsible for setting safety direction, policy, strategy and requirements to ensure safe and effective standards are developed and implemented throughout all Corporation businesses in Hong Kong, as well as in the Mainland China and overseas.
Highlights
How to run a company with over 25,000 employees in four countries? Is there a magic bullet to assure the chief executive sitting in headquarters that the policy and standards he sets for safety and health are appropriately applied in a subsidiary 5,000 miles away?
The Speaker will discuss the various styles and types of corporate safety governance structures adopted by multinational companies and the role of leadership in safety governance. The Speaker will argue that directors of a company should ensure the vision is clear and resources are available to maintain safety standards. The Speaker will address the safety governance framework MTR adopt across its diverse businesses. Governance is executed through a set of checks and balances to maintain standards ranging from audits and policy reviews to management tours of workplaces.
