  • 《預防工作時中暑指引》"Guidance Notes on Prevention of Heat Stroke at Work"

    先生/女士：                 為加强保障僱員的職業健康，行政長官在2022年的施政報告中宣布，政府將根據香港暑熱指數制訂指引，要求僱主按照訂明的準則採取預防措施，保護僱員免在工作時中暑。 2.                勞工處曾就新指引的主要內容框架諮詢相關持分者。我們已因應所得的意見適當調整部分建議的措施，現發出《預防工作時中暑指引》，並定於今年5月15日起正式實施。該《指引》亦可於勞工處網站

    https://www.labour.gov.hk/tc/news/prevention_of_heat_stroke_at_work.htm 下載。 3.                本處十分感謝各持分者在諮詢期間提出的寶貴意見。如對上述事宜有任何查詢，請於辦公時間致電2852 4041與本處職員聯絡。 勞工處 職業安全及健康部 Dear Sir/Madam,                     To strengthen the protection of employees’ occupational health, the Chief Executive announced in the Policy Address this year that the Government will develop guidelines based on the Hong Kong Heat Index to require employers to take preventive measures in accordance with prescribed criteria to protect employees from heat stroke at work. 2.        The Labor Department has consulted relevant stakeholders on the main content framework of the new guidance notes. We have appropriately adjusted some of the proposed measures in response to the opinions we have received and issued the "Guidance Notes on Prevention of Heat Stroke at Work"(GN), which will be officially effective on May 15 this year. The GN can also be downloaded on the website of the Labor Department at https://www.labour.gov.hk/eng/news/prevention_of_heat_stroke_at_work.htm.

  • Safe Foreman Award 2023

    Dear members,

     

    The Annual Event - Safe Foremen Award 2023 is now opened to enroll.  

     

    This award is organized by Lighthouse Club Hong Kong and co-organized by Society of Registered Safety Officers.  The objective of this award is to recognize the local foreman with outstanding safety performance.  All site foremen, their responsibility must be related to construction industry works and direct supervise the construction workers. The participants should be responsible for implementation and promotion occupational safety on site.

     

    Please forward the attached information to your colleagues/ contractors and encourage them to participate.  And the application form can also be downloaded from our web site:

    The Applicant should complete & return the application form to the Society via email: srso@srso.org.hk or mail to our PO Box 482, Fo Tan Post Office, NT on or before 31 March 2023.  Attached please find the poster & enrollment form (flyer) for your information.

     

    The selected finalists will be invited for interview by the judge panel and to attend the Award Presentation Ceremony organized by the Lighthouse Club in May 2023.
